Northern Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialists is a group practice which allows for 24 hour care. Dr Kim Thompson, Dr Nicola Fitzgerald, Dr Gene-Lyn Ngian, Dr Ruth Grace and Dr Carolin Poon have a roster system for out-of-hours, weekends and holidays, where deliveries and emergencies are managed by the doctor on-call. They aim to plan their holiday leave, so patients are aware of these dates prior to booking their antenatal care. Pregnant women book in with their principal obstetrician. An antenatal appointment can be made with the other obstetrician, allowing them to meet prior to delivery, should they wish to do so.
Referrals are needed for initial appointments. Northern Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialists prefers to receive referrals at the time of booking, to ensure there is no need for an earlier review. Referrals can be forwarded to the rooms via email or fax.
Paige and Lisa provide essential administrative support. They book all appointments and will manage any cancellations and billings enquiries.
At times, there may be delays in consultation times due to the unpredictability of obstetric practice and they will endeavour to notify you, if possible, to avoid prolonged waiting times.
