Gynaecology

We perform operative gynaecology, including general gynaecological surgery, laparoscopic surgery and vaginal surgery for pelvic floor prolapse and urinary stress incontinence.

Individualised inpatient procedure estimates are provided. These do not include hospital, anaesthetist or pathology fees.

We advise patients of a general fasting and admission time. The hospital will contact patients on the afternoon prior to their procedure to finalise these times.

We also perform office gynaecological procedures including endometrial biopsies, skin biopsies, IUD insertion for contraception and cycle control and colposcopy. These procedures incur a procedural fee which is partially rebated by Medicare.

Vaginal pessaries may be used in the management of prolapse and will be charged as a separate fee that has no Medicare rebate.
